I purchased a 2002 BMW M Roadster that was in Portland. I live in Colorado and planned to drive it home. I had grown up using Escorts but always wanted a Valentine One. I figured I could buy the V1 now and return it under the 30-day return policy.
The drive home was a delight. By the time I reached Wyoming, I was becoming quite familiar with the car. It really just felt perfect around, well, no sense in incriminating myself now. Nearing Jackson Hole, I came around a sweeping bend to the left that dropped down smartly. Next thing I know I get a hit from a radar behind. On the binders, I see a LEO pull out and start to follow. I keep seeing him on and off in the mirrors. Did he not get a good lock the first time or what?
This went on for what seemed like a good mile before a minivan went flying the other way and he decided to chase that instead. It was at that point I knew I would never return this detector. Not only that, I now own two more of them.
