A few months ago I was getting ready to purchase another V1 when I found out that “Escort” had copied your directional arrows. The arrows have always been my favorite part of V1, so I bought the Escort and have been using it for nearly a month. Tomorrow it goes back to Radar Roy, the seller.
I have been running V1 and the Max 360 side by side–maybe not the right thing to do but I believe I got what I was looking for, which was to determine which detector is the better one.
A few things I noticed: 1) V1 responded quicker to radar; 2) More Ka false alarms from the Max 360; 3) V1’s arrows respond quickly to changes in threat location while Max 360 is still pointing forward when the threat has gone behind.
Mike, keep doing what you are doing and I will soon be calling you for my second V1.
