My wife has had epilepsy since she was 8. While visiting our daughter in college, she had a series of seizures. I had to get her to the hospital ASAP. If it comes down to the speed limit or her, she gets priority.
As I came over a hill, I got a Ka warning. There was a group of five cars ahead, but none looked like a LEO. Nonetheless, my trusted V1 kept telling me that one of the group was emitting a Ka signal. As I worked my way past individual vehicles at a careful speed, V1 identified the culprit–an old guy had a radar gun and he delighted in slowing people down with it. Once the phony bogey was identified, I quickly put him in the rearview. Boy, was he mad that I’d figured out his ruse and he waved his Ka gun at me show me his fury. Nuff of that. I was on a mission and I made it to the hospital in time. Sometimes V1 can literally be a life saver.
