I was driving down a residential road near my home–speed limit is 35 mph, but most people do 40 with no problem. I was cruising about 40 in the right lane when a woman passes me in the left lane doing at least 65. At the same time, V1 tells me at full voice of an oncoming Ka radar. It’s a local copper from around the corner, now heading my way. I slow to 35 and think, “Lady, you better back off.” She doesn’t. Completely unaware, she blurs past the oncoming authority figure. He does what comes naturally, hooks an immediate Uey, and on come his lights.
More revenue for the city, but thanks to my V1, it’s not me paying.
