Let V1 Do The Talking

My brother and I had a deadline:  WI to VA, 993 miles, get there or be square.  I’m lead car, he’s running chase.

Before we left, I gave him one instruction: “Two hazard flashes means watch out.”  V1 earned its keep all the way.  Bogies were IDed before we ever closed in on them.  Two flashes.  Slow down.  We survived every trap unscathed.

When we pulled in, ticket free and on schedule, my brother walked up to my window, shook his head, and said: “Whatever you’re running, I need one.  You didn’t miss a single cop.”

That’s the thing about the uninitiated.  You can explain arrows, bogey counters, and Ka band sensitivity all day long.  Or you can just let them ride behind you for 993 miles and let the V1 do the talking.
