This is my second Valentine radar detector, the newest model, V1 Gen 2. I live near Pensacola, Florida. I was headed east along the coast on Hwy 98, blue water on both sides of the road in some places, very scenic. I was about a quarter-mile short of the 3-mile bridge. Suddenly I get a Ka beep. But I don’t see the source. The bridge is one of those soaring arches to provide clearance for marine traffic crossing beneath. The FL Highway Patrollers are very clever in their hiding places. As I drive on the up side of the arch I see blue sky, but nothing threatening ahead. The beeps, however, are getting more frequent and I’m wary. Once I start over the crest, the sound goes to a solid beeee and I see source, LEO on the other side of the bridge, waiting for his prey. Thanks to V1 Gen2, it won’t be me.
